Filodijuta is an Association of Social Promotion working on International Cooperation and Development. It is regularly registered under the Provincial Register of Parma, Italy, and develops projects in Bangladesh.
The Association was established in 2005 and it is running schooling projects at village level with a special care in supporting the poorest and underprivileged people in the south-west side of Bangladesh, especially in the rural areas of Khulna city.
The main purpose of the Association is to decrease the illiteracy rate in the area of the project, assuring the right to get scholar education.
To achieve this purpose, Filodijuta created the “Lekhapora Shikbo” project (I learn how to read), building up small schools.
We believe that nowhere in the world it is not possible to get true development without a good educational system open to everyone with no differences.
The main purpose of the Association is to decrease the illiteracy rate in the above-mentioned areas of the Country, assuring the right to get a scholar education specially to whom who lives in the low class society. (It is the first step to develop)
The project started in January 2006 after building up five schools in five different villages. It is a pre-school project with morning classes for children between 5 and 6 years of age.
At the end of the 3 years course, the pupils are enrolled to the government school and supported for their needs (didactic material, afternoon coaching course also for class two to five…).
385 children from 5 to 6 years old, students from the five village schools, their families and the teachers involved.
Several students has been already enrolled to the public school. We foresee that much more students will be enrolled at the end of the three years pre-scholastic course.

AIM OF THE PROJECT:

•	to decrease the illiteracy rate in the above-mentioned area of Bangladesh
•	assuring the right to get a scholar education specially for who lives in the low class of the society and underprivileged people
•	Encourage the most poor and discriminate people to get a proper level of education in order to get respect, regard and independence.

The Project is entirely direct, coordinate and sponsored by Filodijuta Association, and the association, through its members, is present in Bangladesh to supervise the project step by step.
