Filodijuta was founded in 2005, as an Association for Social Promotion, enrolling itself in the registry of the Associations for Social Promotion of the Province of Parma. Its aim is the pursuit of justice and social solidarity among the poorest and most disadvantaged people in the developing countries, and, in our specific case, the Bengali population.

Filodijuta was creted with the precise objective of making instruction and education in Bangladesh a service and a right within everyone’s reach, above all for the most indigent and discriminated classes. In Bangladesh there are approximately 3 million children who, for various reasons, do not have access to school. In order to make it possible, Filodijuta is physically present on the territory, in the village of Chalna, south of Khulna, to implement and coordinate the project of the primary school “Lekhapora Shikbo”. The Bengali staff is composed of 16 people, working everyday to make the school and the instruction a reality, and no longer only a dream, for more than 300 children.

Filodijuta works together with the local population, respecting cultural, social or religious differences.
